How you will make an impact:
The Tools and Test Development team is responsible for creating manual and automated test cases that are used in our testing frameworks. It also encapsulates the associated tools used in conjunction with these frameworks (Mimosa, Lapetus, Arecibo, etc.)
The Quality Engineer's primary responsibilities will be to define, implement, maintain, and execute automated and manual tests to ensure product quality. The ideal candidate will have a provable track record of designing, implementing, and automated testing sophisticated software architectures and will have been directly responsible for writing comprehensive software tests, executing, and analyzing test results. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work both independently and within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- • Understand end-to-end system functionality• Define, implement, and maintain automated tests for new and modified functionality• Solve complex automation challenges and work with minimal supervision• Set and review quality standards and practices• Perform automated test demos and walk-through tests with other team members• Create, run, triage, and maintain automated tests• Identify potential quality issues
Skills
Must have
- • Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences, software engineering or equivalent• Minimum 3-5 years engineering experience• Experience in Ticket Creation/Bug Tracking• Experience in Scripting language (Ruby, Perl, Python)• Experience with git, or similar source control• Experience in requirements management and test case creation• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.• Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.• Must have legal right to work in the US.
