Position Overview

Are you interested in pushing software until it breaks, then making sure the pieces have been picked up? Is it satisfying to have the metrics that prove a product is highly robust and stable? We're looking for someone like you to join our multi-disciplinary AR/VR (XR) team responsible for building and delivering XR workflows to the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry (AEC).

As a Senior QA Engineer, you'll spend your time continually improving our ability to verify the quality of our products and services. You will be responsible for learning enough about the system to develop testing strategies and tools throughout the stack. You will help educate and train team members on the latest tools and techniques in code testing.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Product team to understand functional requirements
• Work with the Engineering team to increase unit testing and verify product quality during the development cycle
• Write test strategies and plans
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover new bugs
• Script automated tests across the software stack
• Maintain and monitor test runs
• Measure and report product quality and performance metrics
• Keep the team educated on the latest testing frameworks and tools
• Create and maintain documentation

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SW QA with experience testing Unity or Unreal Engine
• You want to be excited about the product you're helping build. We love what we're creating at Autodesk and want you to love it, too
• You have experience in multiple test frameworks across different languages
• You keep current on the latest trends in testing, and will happily talk about the differences between TDD and BDD
• You have experience designing test process around the bug life cycle
• You are interested in solving testing challenges in a complex environment of graphics and multiuser behaviors
• You are data-driven and want hard numbers proving your tests are effective
• You're eager to do your best work using all the tools you've gained through your career. We're excited to see what you do!

Preferred Qualifications

• A development background and interest in writing custom testing frameworks
• Experience in AEC and CAD software such as Revit or Navisworks
• Ideas around testing games and other applications without traditional user interfaces
• Experience with load and stress testing on a network
• Experience with performance testing and evaluation
