Senior QA Manual Engineer

Gorilla Logic is looking for a senior QA manual engineer, who will work with a team of engineers developing our client's system. This is a unique and highly technical role, requiring strong development experience in delivering leading-edge solutions. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm, and determination.

Responsibilities

* Test planning, documentation, coordinating, and executing testing activities

* Reviewing and analyzing system specifications, including acceptance criteria

* Develop manual test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports

* Perform manual testing for usability and functionality on multiple products

* Build and perform manual regression test to validate releases

* Managing the overall testing strategy and approach

* Help to troubleshoot issues, identify, and log bug defects

* Assist in scoping, planning and scheduling test activities

* Review and validate software requirements and functional design specifications

* Ability to work with minimal supervision and be detailed oriented

* Work with Developers, Product Owner and Scrum Masters to solve any issues

Technical Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

* 5+ years of experience as a Manual QA Tester (Web based testing)

* Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies and testing management tools

* Experience in functional and non-functional testing

* Experience with tools to manually test REST services such as Postman or Curl

* Familiar with web product interactions such at HTML, JavaScript, AJAX

* Working knowledge of SFTP and PuTTy in test cases

* Must be detail oriented and a passion for QA testing

* Must have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

* Strong communication skills and experience as an Agile team member

* ISTQB Foundation Certification

Bonus Skills

* Experience designing and building automated test frameworks and test suites

* Experience with Load testing frameworks

* Basic SQL relational database understanding and query skills

* Experience executing QA testing within AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud

* Performance testing

* Database testing
