Work Location: Customers Bank works primarily in a hybrid work model coming into the office at least 3-days per week with Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday being set days. The expectation is that if you're within a commutable distance to a bank location (within a 50-mile radius) that you will be hybrid. Remote candidates, in the US will be considered.

What you'll do:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Tester to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our financial products, payment systems, and technology platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, design, execute, and manage comprehensive testing activities, with a focus on API testing and various testing applications.

Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and security of financial applications, payment systems, and APIs.

API Testing: Conduct in-depth API testing to verify data integrity, data transmission, and integration with other systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols.

Automation: Lead the automation of test cases using industry-standard tools and frameworks, improving testing efficiency and coverage.

Test Execution: Execute test cases, document test results, and track defects in collaboration with developers and other stakeholders. Conduct both manual and automated testing as needed.

Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new features do not negatively impact existing functionality.

Load and Performance Testing: Design and execute load and performance tests to assess the stability and scalability of our financial systems.

Security Testing: Collaborate with security teams to perform security testing and identify vulnerabilities in financial systems and payment platforms.

Test Environments: Set up and manage test environments that mimic production systems, ensuring realistic testing scenarios.

Test Data Management: Manage test data effectively, ensuring data privacy and compliance with data protection regulations.

Reporting: Create comprehensive test reports, including defect tracking, test coverage, and test progress, and communicate results to project stakeholders.

What do you need?

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software testing, with a strong emphasis on finance, payments, and technology.
  • Experience with the testing role in an Agile methodology or Agile Product Team structure. Proven experience in API testing, including hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
  • Expertise in automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of financial industry regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, SOX).
  • Familiarity with multiple testing applications and tools for test management, defect tracking, and performance testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of database management systems and SQL for data validation.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.
  • A proactive mindset, a passion for staying updated on industry trends, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
