Senior Quality Assurance Analyst
Job Description
Geode Capital Management is a leading institutional asset manager in Boston, Massachusetts. Started in 2001, we have steadily grown over the past 20+ years and currently manage over $900 billion in assets. Geode relies heavily on our in-house technology team for supporting all areas of the business, including portfolio management, trading, compliance, legal, operations, finance, human resources, and business development.
Geode is undergoing rapid growth of its technology team and is looking for highly motivated individuals to be a part of our exciting future. We are reengineering and redeveloping our suite of custom in-house software to meet our current and future needs, and to utilize the latest technology to support our growing business for many years to come. You will become an essential part of our Technology group and will have the opportunity to learn and participate fully in these efforts. We have a lot of work to do and are looking for people who are driven and committed to doing high quality work.
- Work closely with development and business teams to define requirements and understand the business need.
- Plan, create and manage the overall Test Planning strategy.
- Capable of understanding end to end requirements to test efficiently and effectively.
- Test and Deploy multiple applications; facilitate business teams in user acceptance testing.
- Create Test Data and write multiple SQL queries for testing the applications.
- Work with business and support teams to investigate issues and identify defects with regression tests.
- Advanced SQL skills to understand and write complex queries.
- Experience with agile development and deployment methodologies.
- Experience with testing finance applications.
- Experience with quality assurance processes.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux command line tools.
- Experience with complex multi-tier enterprise software deployments.
- High-level understanding of Java and Atlassian products is useful.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in asset management industry is preferred.
- Must be detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
