Vivacity Tech is growing and adding a new Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer to our Development team!

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality software deliveries through systematic testing and validation processes.

*Only U.S. based candidates will be considered as we are not currently hiring internationally*

*This is for a full time position, no contractors or W9 applicants will be considered*

While no day will be completely the same, you will execute daily responsibilities in these various functions:

  • Design and develop comprehensive test plans and cases based on product requirements.
  • Prioritize and sequence test cases based on business needs and project timelines.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing across various platforms and devices.
  • Identify, log, and track defects to resolution while working closely with the development team.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that introduced changes do not affect existing functionality.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure alignment in understanding requirements and quality metrics.
  • Provide timely feedback to the development team regarding usability, functionality, and quality.
  • Advocate for quality assurance best practices throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Stay current with the latest testing tools, trends, and methodologies and share knowledge with the team.
  • Generate detailed defect and test execution reports.
  • Present quality metrics and findings to stakeholders and leadership.

Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Expert technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and assist and train others
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Extremely proficient with Google Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven experience with automated testing tools such as Cypress.io, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Appium, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
  • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Ability to think critically and problem-solve with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI, etc.
  • QA certification, such as ISTQB or CSTE
