Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (QE)

As a Senior Test Engineering Lead at k-ID, you will be playing a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of our product offerings. Your expertise will ensure a positive digital experience for our game studio partners and their end-users, establishing and maintaining a rigorous quality assurance process.

• Quality Assurance Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans to ensure high product quality and reliability.
• Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Manual Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing when necessary to identify and resolve issues before product releases.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, UX designers, and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
• Issue Resolution: Triage and resolve issues found during testing and production, ensuring smooth operation of both backend and frontend systems.
• Security Testing: Champion security best practices, conducting regular security tests to protect sensitive user data.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and testing results.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior team members (if applicable) and share knowledge to elevate the overall team capabilities.
• Culture Building: Contribute to building a positive and inclusive work culture, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of test engineering experience
• Experience with Typescript, React, Next.js, Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, S3, and Kubernetes
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools
• Proven track record of developing and implementing test plans for large-scale systems
• Experience working with UX designers and developers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance
• Desire to work in an early-stage, fast-paced environment with a degree of ambiguity
• Strong individual contributor with a high level of ownership and initiative
• Excellent communication skills in English
