Description

Bakkt is looking for a skilled React engineer who is excited to explore blockchain related systems across our application stack. Your role as a Senior React Engineer is to guide a team of engineers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of large-scale front-end applications for our blockchain custody & market-making systems.

What You Will Do

• Be a leading voice of best practices in Javascript, Typescript, & React frameworks
• Work cross functionally with our product, project, development, and ops teams
• Improve the testability, quality, & automation of our applications
• Key contributor to the overall client application architecture and direction of Bakkt Applications
• Plan and decompose high-level features, providing accurate estimates and roadmap/development plans
• Analyze the development processes and procedures to determine areas for improvement
• Coach, mentor, and motivate software engineers in a high-performance software development organization

What We Are Looking For

• Strong in Javascript/Node
• Passionate about Typescript
• Well versed in React, React Router, familiar with Loader patterns
• Excellent debugging skills
• A passion for well tested, fully functioning & scalable applications
• Self-motivated, well organized, and an excellent communicator - both written and verbal
• Able to unblock yourself in a largely asynchronous work environment
• Enjoy helping others and helping to raise the skill level of others
• Passionate about crypto and bridging the gap from traditional finance to blockchain!

Requirements

• 8+ years of deep, hands-on experience, building Typescript based React Applications
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
