Position Description

Zayo Group maintains a global real estate portfolio of office space, warehouses, and technical facilities to sustain and operate our network. Our Senior Real Estate Manager, Colocation Solutions reports into the Real Estate Department and manages a team focused on Zayo’s relationships and contracts with Third Party Data Center operators.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the existing Colocation portfolio including contracts for space and power in 3rd Party Data Centers and ILA’s and Carrier POPs.

  • Negotiate all aspects of MSA’s to comply with financial, business and operational objectives.

  • Maintain a centralized contract database for all Colocation agreements, using Salesforce.

  • Manage and sustain vendor relationships (Operators, Brokers, etc.).

  • Support cost savings initiatives and strictly manage budgets.

  • Troubleshoot facilities issues and coordinate resolutions with in-market resources.

  • Uphold frequent and regular communication with internal groups (Sales, Operations, Legal, Adjacent Real Estate team members etc.) to ensure understanding of diverse and continuously changing space and power needs of each group.

  • Comply with departmental and internal company controls and processes.

  • Miscellaneous other duties and responsibilities as may be requested or required by management.

Qualifications

  • Five - ten (5 - 10) years managing either the acquisition of Technical Space for a Telecommunications Carrier or comparable experience in buying/selling data center space at a Neutral Host Data Center Operator

  • Strong understanding of industry standard contrast forms: MSAs, SLAs and the T&Cs associated with each

  • Experience reading and understanding complex real estate contracts

  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Contract Database programs

  • Experience with Salesforce, preferred

  • Experience reviewing, gathering, compiling and summarizing financial data

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Negotiation, analytical and organizational skills

  • High energy individual with a strong work ethic

  • Attention to detail and the ability to provide administrative support to a busy commercial real estate department

  • Self-motivated individual that can establish and complete short and long term objectives

  • Possess and employ the highest ethical and business standards and always conduct himself/herself with the greatest degree of professional integrity

 

Base pay range: $114,400-$162,000, commensurate with experience.
