Job Overview

Be part of something big! Our Surface Mining division is looking for a Senior Recruiter to partner with our leaders to fill key roles in the organization.

Responsible for recruiting and sourcing active and passive candidates for hard to fill roles, screening and interviewing potential employees. Manages job postings. Works with both external and internal sources to find the best candidates for open positions. Position scope includes recruitment for all levels, non-exempt through executive levels. Manages outside recruiter relationships and engagements. Manages recruitment projects and process improvement for recruitment processes and systems.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all recruitment activities including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing and managing candidate and manager relationships, with the goal of hiring top level talent.
  • Sources high quality candidates using both traditional and innovative advertising and acquisition strategies and tools including social media, website posting, networking, advertising, employee referrals, career fairs and database mining.
  • Assists with the development of strategic initiatives and programs designed to find and attract talent as well as build talent pools.
  • Responsible for leading Komatsu career fairs and networking events. Creates and maintains partnerships with trade schools, sourcing agencies and other professional associations.
  • Workforce planning for proactive recruitment in high growth areas as well as tracking and reporting on monthly recruitment metrics.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and at least 3-5 years of recruiting experience (professional level roles preferred).
  • Experiences with ATS system required (SuccessFactors preferred)
  • Maintains a high level of personal accountability and internal drive for success
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality always
  • Understanding of federal and state employment laws
  • MS office and Teams experience required
  • Ability to travel approximately 15%, domestically, mostly to job fairs and conferences as needed.
