DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant to join our team. Preference is for someone in or around the Dallas, TX area (although position can be remote or WFH). You will help ensure the delivery of our most valuable asset, our people, for the organization's Southern Region. The successful candidate will build and maintain relationships with Hiring Managers while working collaboratively with them to identify targeted candidates for their business needs. The Senior Recruiter will utilize networking skills while aggressively sourcing and screening both active and passive candidates for Architectural, Engineering, Construction and related support positions within the Pittsburgh and Harrisburg areas. They will work with Hiring Managers to develop, negotiate, and close offers in a timely manner. They will also leverage networking opportunities by fostering relationships with professional associations, industry groups, and more to promote the Michael Baker brand and engage with members for career opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage full life-cycle recruitment including creating sourcing strategies, actively sourcing candidates, pre-screening, interviewing and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers, negotiating offers and facilitating the hiring processes.
  • Be a consultant and partner to hiring managers on all aspects of the hiring process, including hiring strategies, recruitment cycle timing, coaching and guidance on best practices and market trends.
  • Implement innovative proactive sourcing strategies, including leveraging knowledge of technology, organizations, and networks, to attract and engage talent
  • Drive team sourcing efforts through LinkedIn, Hiretual, email marketing, mining professional and alumni associations, social media, cold calling, and direct candidate engagement
  • Coordinate university recruitment activities and staff career fairs for local interest schools, professional associations, and conferences
  • Meet weekly, monthly, and yearly performance goals and staffing targets
  • Operate with a high level of accountability, dependability, and drive for success
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities timely and effectively
  • Create a positive candidate experience (for both the selected and non-selected candidates) throughout the entire recruiting process.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • 4-year Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of related recruiting experience; A/E/C industry knowledge preferred
  • Ability to source passive candidates and uncover talent for a broad number of openings
  • Demonstrated bias for action in proactively sourcing and building candidate pipelines in addition to driving the recruitment process
  • Outgoing, well organized, and assertive; ability to network, build meaningful relationships and drive outcomes with a wide variety of people (hiring managers, candidates, etc.)
  • Demonstrate and convey a strong understanding of the company's service offerings, history, and market space
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn and social media savviness
  • Ability to quickly get up to speed on Michael Baker's recruiting policies/procedures and master the software tools
  • Possess general knowledge and understanding of HR policies, compliance law, and practices related to talent acquisition
  • Must have strong written/verbal communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, and the ability to make cold calls
  • Prior experience recruiting within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related industries preferred
