This role plays a key part in supporting patient access to critical therapies by ensuring effective coordination of reimbursement processes within the pharmaceutical and healthcare ecosystem. You will act as a senior point of contact for reimbursement specialists, guiding case management activities and supporting the optimization of insurance and funding approvals. The position combines operational execution with leadership responsibilities, requiring close collaboration with program managers, healthcare providers, insurers, and pharmacies. You will help improve reimbursement workflows, monitor key performance indicators, and contribute to the development of efficient and compliant processes. This is a high-impact role for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is motivated by improving patient access to treatment.

Accountabilities:

  • Act as a senior support and team lead for reimbursement specialists, providing guidance and operational assistance across cases and workflows
  • Coordinate end-to-end reimbursement processes, including insurance claims, documentation, funding applications, and pharmacy coordination
  • Liaise with insurance companies, healthcare professionals, and physician offices to maximize prescription coverage for patients
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of reimbursement processes, protocols, and KPIs
  • Monitor departmental performance metrics and report findings to program leadership
  • Ensure accurate processing of financial means testing and funding optimization activities
  • Manage administrative responsibilities including scheduling oversight and workflow coordination
  • Report adverse events in accordance with compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or related reimbursement environments
    • University degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Strong knowledge of reimbursement programs, insurance processes, or healthcare funding systems
    • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines effectively
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to work in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities and evolving demands
    • Experience in project management, healthcare, or insurance environments is considered an asset
    • Bilingual French and English is considered a strong asset
