Senior Requirements Engineer

SENIOR REQUIREMENTS ENGINEER - EL SEGUNDO, CA

As a Requirements Engineer, you will be responsible for developing Skyryse requirements management plans and supporting validation and verification activities including traceability. You will be responsible for gathering and writing requirements, distilling them into actionable plans, and developing verification strategies. You will work closely with the systems engineering team to drive ARP4754 requirements management approach to the organization. You will support the development of the fly by wire, trajectory planning, navigation, and perception technology that will revolutionize flight automation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather and manage engineering requirements
• Manage and write aircraft system and item level requirements
• Organize requirements within appropriate tiers 
• Generate traceability and flow down between aircraft to item level requirements
• Generate validation and verification artifacts to support ARP4754
• Responsible for supporting implementation of the requirements management tool
• Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to challenge, shape and define requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline
• 10+ years of professional experience 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Polarion, JAMA, TeamCenter, DOORS, or similar PLM tool
• Product Launch/Full Lifecycle experience
• Experience managing or interfacing with vendors and customers
• Ability to translate technology agnostic concepts cross-functionally across teams
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Working proficiency with G Suite products (Google Docs, Google Sheets etc.)
