Job Description

Protein Evolution is looking for a highly-organized Senior Research Associate to join our scientific team to engineer, characterize, and produce enzymes. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who want to own work streams. As part of our team, your core responsibilities include:

• Executing on well scoped workstreams (these could be diverse, from assay development, to running complex protocols, to streamlining organization)
• Interfacing with lab automation robots, software, and other biological tools to run experiments and analyze data
• Working alongside scientists to assist in executing complex, multi-part experiments
• Preparing biological reagents and buffer solutions of varying complexity for use in the laboratory
• Jump in and help with whatever is needed to get the job done: machine set up, moving furniture and more - as we are a start-up, you never know!

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline and at least two years of directly related experience in a laboratory setting
• Demonstrated ability to scope and own work streams
