Senior Research Associate, Analytical Development

Arcellx's lead product candidate, CART-ddBCMA, is being developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (r/r MM) in an ongoing study. CART-ddBCMA has been granted Fast Track, Orphan Drug, and Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy designations by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Arcellx is also advancing its dosable and controllable CAR-T therapy, ARC-SparX, through two programs: ACLX-001 for r/r MM and ACLX-002 in relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia and high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome.

We are looking for a talented Research Associate to join our Analytical Development team. This role is primarily responsible for executing analytical methods for the analysis of CAR-T cells. Additional responsibilities include involvement in characterization of CAR-T cells and performing experiments to support new product development and IND-enabling activities.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Support analytical development of CAR-T assays by designing, executing, and analyzing laboratory experiments.
• Design multicolor panels for flow cytometry analysis of CAR-T cells.
• Characterize CAR T cells by multicolor flow cytometry and assess their functions using cell-based assays.
• Work closely with scientists to perform experiments to support the analytical development of CAR-T cells in vitro.
• Generate and collect data. Communicate results effectively to peers.
• Write and revise SOPs.
• Collaborate with other team members as needed to advance our immunology programs.
• Attend and present data at laboratory team meetings.
• Maintain an accurate and detailed laboratory notebook and documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.
• Participate in management of laboratory equipment and supplies.

Qualifications: 

• Research Associate I/II: BS in biology or biology related discipline with up to 2 years of relevant experience, or MS.
• Senior Research Associate: BS in biology or biology related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Good understanding of mammalian cell culture and proficient in aseptic technique.
• Experience with Immunoassay (ELISA, cytokine production).
• Experience with multicolor flow cytometry.
