Position Summary
We are seeking a technical biomarker/bioanalytical scientist who has strong experience with the development and validation of biomarker, cell-based, immunogenicity, immuno- enzymatic, and/or chromatographic assays for support of preclinical, clinical and product release studies. This laboratory-based role will focus on the design, development and implementation of both fluid biomarker and bioanalytical ligand binding assays (e.g. ELISA, ECL detection, Quanterix) in biological matrix (plasma, serum, CSF, tissue lysate) to measure compound concentration, detect the presence of anti-drug antibody and neutralizing anti product antibody activity.  Experience with development and validation of LC/MS assays is a plus. This is a fantastic career opportunity within an early-stage company to help shape the development of disruptive and ground-breaking technology with the promise to change the course of neurodegenerative disease for millions of patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of bioanalytical and biomarker ligand-binding assays, including processing and analysis of large molecules (proteins, mRNA, etc.). This role will primarily support the execution of LBA assays in supporting of our nonclinical and clinical studies
- Work closely with other departments to establish the timelines of each project
- Independently plan, execute, and report routine sample analysis within group timelines
- Monitor and review data, qualification plans and reports, and bioanalytical plans and reports internally as well as outsourced to CROâs
- Ensure data and documentation quality
Experience and Qualifications
- M.S. or B.S. in Biology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or related field with 3+ years of biotech/pharma industry experience
- Strong assay development and troubleshooting experience, including LLOQ optimization and non-specific binding matrix effects
- Experience with MSD, Quanterix, rtPCR instrumentation is a plus
- Exhibit independence, enthusiasm, openness, and adaptability
- MSD workbench, softMAX pro, Watson LIMS, JMP, Graphpad Prism preferred
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills are required
- Ability and desire to work in a collaborative environment
- Passion for curing neurodegenerative diseases is a plus
