This role works within in the Genomics Hub at Altos to support the development of innovative NGS, molecular biology methods and workflows, integration of novel genomic analysis pipelines into larger operational networks and working groups, as well as the implementation of existing NGS pipelines to drive efficiency to support R&D efforts.
Who You AreMinimum Qualifications- Bachelorโs degree and 5+ years or relevant experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, to include experience with NGS and genomic analysis technologies.
- Strong background in molecular biology and analytical techniques, including PCR/qPCR, and nucleic acid isolation and manipulation.
- Experience working in the research laboratory with expertise in preparing NGS libraries from tissues and isolated DNA/RNA.
- Desire to participate in cross-functional collaborations with multiple groups to advance broad company goals and objectives and assist in the design of genomics projects.
- Experience with collecting and maintaining accurate and complete hard copy and digital records, including electronic notebook entries.
- Highly motivated with a can-do attitude.
- Experience with Illumina sequencing, single cell transcriptomics, DNA/RNA workflows and related sequencing technologies and assays.
- Experience with long read technologies such as PacBio and Oxford Nanopore.
- Experience working in a genomics or NGS core or shared research setting.
- Experience with emerging spatial genomics technologies.
- Experience with genomics data management workflows and analysis pipelines.
- Experience operating liquid handling robots or other lab automation for high-throughput assays.
- Experience with high- or low-throughput NGS library preparation strategies for bulk, single-cell, and multi-omic applications.
