Senior Research Engineer

SUMMARY:

Aeroseal is looking for a Senior Research Engineer that will assist us in our mission by expanding research team at Aeroseal. You will work both individually and as a team member to acquire scientific evidence to further our high-pace research agenda.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong engineering & research mindset
• Ability to multitask
• Strong verbal & written communication

Must-haves:

• Motivated research engineer with strong understanding of fluid mechanics
• MSc or PhD in mechanical engineering, physics or another related field
• 5-10 years of work experience in a research position
• Strong analytical skills & modeling background
• Hands-on experience in experimental measurements (design, execution, analysis)
• Fully fluent with MS Office

Desired:

• Understanding of sprays & nozzles, particle size analysis
• Understanding of HVAC systems
• In-depth understanding of computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
• Prior use of commercial CFD codes in industrial applications

Creativity & thinking outside the box (while staying focused on defined goals)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform simulations and analysis using available engineering tools at Aeroseal
• Help develop and expand the engineering tools as needed
• Help design physical validation experiments
• Test-rig build, experiment setup, data acquisition, sanity check, data analysis, reporting

The estimated pay range for this role is $90,000-110,000. Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s experience, skills, knowledge, and job location. Please note that the compensation details listed in role postings reflect the base salary and do not include bonuses or benefits.
