Role Overview:

We are looking for a Research Scientist to help us build next generation detection of Trellix Appliances. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about solving real problems by turning cutting edge research into operational production solutions. The Senior Researcher will drive email research, analysis (data-mining) and generate content for use in our products that enhance Trellix's security content infrastructure, process workflow, and the malware intelligence portal. They will work with team across various locations to support research and detection efforts.

About role

• Perform data analysis to measure efficacy and continuously thrive to improve developed solutions.
• Threat Analytics – Leveraging threat intelligence from different sources, identify patterns to co-relate and establish the origin and flow of attacks.
• Forward Looking Research – Researcher will help develop leading edge prototypes to solve emerging challenges.
• Drive Roadmap for detection efficacy and email research operation

About you

• Dissect and Reverse Engineer advanced malware and cyber attacks
• Develop and maintain relationships with the research community
• At least three years direct or equivalent experience in areas of advanced threats, malware-analysis, spam and other aspects of cyber-attacks discovery.
• Experience in programming primarily C/C++ and Python
• Candidate should have good communication skills to respond to the support/customer queries.
• Able to work independently and be available at times during non-business hours to handle critical customer issues/malware outbreak.
• Experience in big data infrastructure are definite plus
• Knowledge in Security and Malware detection technologies

Preferred:

• Hands-on reverse engineering and knowledge of operating system internals.
• Experience working in fast-paced development environments

• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience
