What you will do -
- Provides technical support to engineers and scientists on a variety of technical tasks.
- Executes on tasks per procedure and maintains documentation per GDP, under minimal supervision.
- Perform various types of physical and chemical tests to assess the performance of materials.
- Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends corrective action.
What you need -
- High school Diploma or GED required. Technical certification or Associate's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Biomedical Engineering or related field of study preferred.
- 3 years of relevant experience required. Chemical or material research/testing environment preferred.
- Hands-on working experience in a laboratory environment with a demonstrated understanding of good documentation practices.
- Demonstrated mechanical, material or other laboratory testing and/or machining expertise and ability to handle common chemicals
- Attention to detail is essential to this role.
- Effective problem solving and troubleshooting abilities with effective verbal and written communication to all R&D engineers.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks with minimal guidance
- Demonstrated proficiency in PC based applications, including Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team in a dynamic and detail-oriented environment.
- Ability to develop into self-starter and learn to work independently.
