Job Description

• Contribute to research in the field of big data processing (as described below)
• Develop efficient algorithms and architectures to address ingest and real-time processing of massive amounts of data, for example, for anomaly detection
• Bridgeacademic researchandcommercial technology development: Collaborate with our development teams and other internal and external stakeholders
• Actively take part in scientific and industrial cooperation projects

Qualifications

• MSc or PhDinComputer Scienceora related field
• Strong interest in performance and resource optimization as well as in algorithm development for indexing, pattern matching, sketching, query optimization
• Experience with real-world projects in the area of big data processing (see research field above)
• 5+yearsofexperience in Java development, including architectural design
• Experience with Kafka, Spark, Lucene, or related technologies
• Familiarity with test-driven development, clean code and design patterns
• Enjoying passing on knowledge and experience to fellow team members
• Excited to learn new technologies
• Excellent English skills (oral and written)
