Job Description
our role

• Conduct research in the field of Generative AI
• Enhance current product capabilities with innovative customer value, using research results that are also guaranteed to scale to large enterprise environments.
• Bridge academic research and commercial technology development: Collaborate with our development teams and other internal and external stakeholders
• Mentor PhD and master students and ensure direction is in line with research strategy
• Contribute to the global research community - publish and disseminate research findings in journals and speak at conferences
• Actively take part in scientific and industrial cooperation projects

We are strong believersin innovation through technology and research.In our research center situated in the heart of theLinzInstitute of Technology (LIT) as well as in our Vienna and Hagenberg offices, engineers and researchers collaborate to build next generation technologiesthat help companies to run better, safer and more innovative software.Generative AI is one of the four research divisions of the lab.
Research Field

• Large language models, and other generative AI-based applications in the software intelligence domain: Data processing, training, evaluation, prompting
• Systems based on generative AI, like RAG or agent-based approaches
• Components used with generative AI, like vector databases and embeddings

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related quantitative field
• Track record of independent research in topics related to the research field
• Strong publication record of driving market relevant research (in relation to the academic age)
• Excellent English skills (oral and written)
• Proven track record of driving innovation towards product maturity
• Deep understanding of latest developments in generative AI

Compensation and rewards

• We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerousbenefits and advantages.
• Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 56,000 gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer ahigher salaryin line with qualifications and experience.
