Senior Revenue Accountant

As a part of the Revenue Accounting Team, the Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for revenue recognition for various companies and products within the company. The role will work closely with finance teams to ensure that revenue is appropriately recorded and accurately forecasted to provide leadership with the financial information necessary to make decisions within the business.
The Sr. Revenue Accountant is a key member of the Corporate Accounting team and will report to the Director of Revenue Accounting and will enjoy a hybrid workplace model where they will be able to work both remotely, as well as in our newly-renovated global corporate HQ office in Midtown Atlanta, GA. (This is A Hybrid office role with 3 days in office per week)
What you'll do:
- Responsible for leading and maintaining the month-end/quarter-end accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely application of revenue recognition and accounting guidance
- Prepare journal entries, complete balance sheet reconciliations to the G/L and analyze revenue trends
- Evaluate revenue share partner arrangements and make sure they are calculated properly to ensure accurate payments
- Partner with finance team members to update forecasts based on revenue recognition conclusions
- Ownership of revenue recognition for companies and products that you are assigned
- Develop relationships and coordinate with various teams and departments, including revenue accounting, finance, billing, IT systems and internal/external auditors
- Drive accuracy and completeness of monthly financial results
What experience you need:
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or Business related field
- 3 or more years of experience in general accounting or audit
- 1+ years of experience in Revenue Recognition ASC 606 and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- 2+ years of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Oracle JE/ARM reconciliation applications
What could set you apart:
- Experience with Tableau, Hyperion HFM/Essbase, Oracle or similar ERP
- Masters in Accounting/Business and/or CPA license
- Experience improving Accounting processes and procedures
