Senior Revenue Accountant

The Revenue Accounting team is looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our growing team. You’ll have the unique opportunity to analyze and determine the accounting treatment for new revenue agreements and products, collaborate cross functionally, and play a key role in developing and maintaining scalable revenue recognition processes. The Senior Revenue Accountant will own various revenue accounting close tasks and gain exposure to ad hoc initiatives and projects. In keeping with Reddit values, the successful candidate in this role is someone who operates with an open mindset and “values the human” in all interactions. This position reports to the Revenue Accounting Senior Manager and will work cross-functionally as a valuable member contributing to the Company’s continued growth and success.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly close deliverables
• Prepare monthly flux analysis for management review
• Prepare audit support for external and internal audits
• Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures & implementing internal control procedures (SOX) in areas of responsibility
• Assess the accounting treatment for new revenue agreements and products
• Establish effective relationships and work cross-functionally across the organization
• Develop new processes and drive process improvements and efficiencies for areas of responsibility
• Assist in any accounting-related system implementations
• Participate in special projects, analysis, and reporting as required by management

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of accounting or audit experience required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Basic knowledge of GAAP and SOX required, ASC 606 experience strongly preferred 
• CPA (or on track to be certified) required
• Possess excellent attention to detail, organizational, problem solving, and prioritization skills 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams in a remote environment
• Able to work under time pressure, prioritize a high workload, and meet strict deadlines
• Team player with a positive attitude and open mindset, not afraid to roll up your sleeves and work in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and Google Workspace (e.g. Google Sheets and Slides) required
• Experience working with NetSuite and Salesforce a plus
