Senior Revenue Accountant

Our client located in Bethesda, MD, is in need of a senior revenue accountant to assist with the ASC 606 project for up to 6 months. The ideal candidate will have a CPA, with extensive experience in revenue recognition, and ASC 606 and ASC 605 knowledge.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Planning and design of revenue recognition methodology to include documentation, process and controls and detailed staff training for roll-out
• System support to include evaluation of existing systems and new tool implementation
• Help resolve risk/issues during implementation
• Project management to support the team and management during the course of the project - to include a cutover checklist and plan

• CPA and rev rec experience in a professional services environment
• ASC 605 and ASC 606 knowledge
• Experience and knowledge of US GAAP to include revenue recognition (minimum of 5 years)
• SOx design, documentation and testing experience
• Financial analysis and ability to solve issues /find solutions
• Advanced Excel skills
• ERP system implementation experience required (preferably Tier 1 or Tier 2 experience)
• Experience working in a global/international company with multiple currencie
