Reporting to the Global Revenue Officer, the Senior Revenue Analyst is a critical role in the revenue cycle of the Firm by providing reporting to Revenue. The role will require financial business partnering, problem solving and analytical acumen, in addition to hands-on reporting and analysis. Over time, and with management support, a successful senior analyst will own the end-to-end cycle of data management, reporting, analysis, and presentation for revenue reporting. Individuals will also work directly with leaders/owners of the firm to develop pricing strategies, create innovative client level pricing arrangements, and implement analytics to measure success.
The role will have exposure to the senior finance management, certain business, and functional leaders, with some partner interaction. The senior analyst will contribute to the financial functions included below:
The scope of the role includes:
- Design, build, and implement tools and process used to better identify Revenue metrics, reporting and projections.
- Have an aptitude for complex research and analytical work and demonstrated strengths and interest in problem solving.
- Responsible for the review of AR write-offs exceeding partner threshold to ensure that reasoning and metrics are accurate, and approvals are obtained.
- Able to work in a self-directed manner, take ownership of work, and contribute to the success of the team.
- Develop tools and processes in support of creative new pricing strategies focused on balancing risk/reward and creating win/win incentives for the client.
- Respond to requests for quotes using economic models to assess the profitability of new business proposals and own the development of creative, workable pricing solutions, including alternative fee arrangements.
- Collaborate with support teams in enhancement of Revenue reporting.
- Develop, maintain, and improve, recurring and one-off reports and analyses for offices, client teams, and practices.
- Point person for 3E collections reporting, building, and maintaining of reports.
- Bring process and reporting improvement mindset to Revenue reporting.
- Perform other assigned duties and projects necessary to support the Revenue Department
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Requires a BA/BS degree in Business, Finance or Technical discipline.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• A minimum of five years experience in a professional services environment using time and billing software such as Elite or Aderant. Law firm or service industry preferred.
• Must have the ability to analyze and interpret financial data for non-finance audiences, including peers in other support roles.
• Understanding of financial transactions and processes
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel capabilities: MicroStrategy and Tableau skills needed.
• Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work additional hours as required by workload, particularly at year-end.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Incumbent is expected to work the hours necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. It is likely that this role will require more than standard hours during month and year-end closings and during special projects.
