Job Description

The Senior Risk & Compliance Analyst is a direct report of the Head of Prudential & Compliance. You will be a member of the Prudential, Risk Strategy & Compliance team who are responsible for the design, oversight and governance of TAL's key non-financial risks. The team manages TAL's prudential compliance framework including maintaining a productive and effective relationship with APRA. 

You will be involved in Risk Management and Compliance matters providing analysis, advice and support within a structured system with focus on TAL’s Incident and Breach Monitoring process.

You will also act as an individual contributor using a practical level of Risk Management and Compliance knowledge and a basic understanding of how Risk services the business.

In this role you will:

• Complete daily triage of incidents raised by the Business for potential reportability to a regulator.
• Support the TAL Triage and Reportable Situation forums and committees including production of forum packs, presentation, minute taking, and action follow ups.
• Manage investigation timelines to meet regulatory requirements.
• Produce reporting for various monthly and quarterly forums and committees on triaged and reported incidents, including details analysis of the data.
• Assist in the ongoing review and development of incidents and breaches process.
• Assist in ad hoc reviews and root cause analysis as required.
• Organise and facilitate training sessions where required across the business to ensure all staff are fully informed and compliant.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic qualifications 
• Good written and verbal skills to be able to articulate technical issues associated to work area.
• Computer literacy and a good knowledge of standard computer software.
• Familiar with the relevant regulatory and legal compliance requirements (e.g. APRA/Life Act) of a Life Insurance company.
