Senior Risk Management Manager (Bilingual English/Korean)

We are currently seeking our newest innovator to join our dynamic team as a Senior Risk Management Manager on the NA Insurance Management Team!

Summary

Responsible for managing and coordinating local insurance programs in Canada and Mexico, correspond and negotiate with various insurance carriers for policy placement, premiums and coverages. Providing loss control measures to North American entities including manufacturing, service and office operations with guidance on issues and development of risk mitigation strategies. Recommend and research new loss prevention techniques, and review risk exposure to identify areas of potential loss or damage and quantify impact. Correspond with various departments within the organization regardin insurance and loss control inquiries. Requires efforts in developing and evaluating policies, processes and standards to reduce risk. minimize business disruption and ensure business continuity and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Insurance Renewals: Gather and analyze the exposure and claims history. Then with the proposal with carrier. With a final negotiated proposal, generate reports for team leader to review and approve
• Support Global Insurance Program Renewal: Gather and analyze North America entities exposure for submission, and lead the local fronting policy issuance and premium allocation
• Manage COPE and endorsement for new exposure and location, day to day correspondence with entities with guidance and inquiries
• Handling of large property claims and provide reports to management
• Construction Project Insurance Management: Analyze the exposure, contractor/sub-contractor insurance review and obtain related documents, closely follow up with progress to properly move exposures to applicable insurance policy
• Responsible for construction claims handling and support
• Risk Management/Loss prevention: Generate a report based on the claims history and trend with the loss control techniques derived from the claims details. with team leader's review, the report and instruction can be released or more analysis to be included
• Contract Review: Recommend necessary insurance clauses to be included in the contract by the other party
• Priorities are set and based on the renewal date and significance of the exposure and premium amount of the insurance policy
• Ensure LG entities are legally compliant in WC laws, loss control measures are provided to entities with guidance on issues and recommended loss prevention techniques to meet safe workplace requirements
• Domestic and regional responsibility on insurance program and loss control program
• Provide loss control measures information and data based on research and review to cover newly developed exposure, coverage enhancements for the policy, possible loss control measures to business partners
• Standardize forms such as renewal application or endorsement application for all regions
• Coordinate with EHS and carrier risk engineers insurance structures and coverages for Canada and Mexico insurance policies and bonds for all entities, negotiates the costs and allocates the premiums
• Provide Loss control measures based on occupational health and safety terms for more effective and efficient business communicaitons and transactions.
• Conference frequently with other departments in US/Canada region, HQ, brokers, and insurance company
  Hold annual/semi-annual meetings with other LG personnels to discuss more in-depth insureance management topics
• Negotiate for cost and scope of rate renewals and risk surveys

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety, risk management or similar field preferred with 10 years experience in insurance field (Broking, Underwriting, Risk Engineering, or claims experience preferred)
• Bilingual in English and Korean
• In-depth technical insurance and risk management knowledge
  High level of technical loss control skills with strong framework on risk management knowledge and workplace safety & OSHA. (OSHA 30 training completion preferred)
• ARM, CPCU designations are preferred - Insurance/risk management/claim related licenses, project management, and accountings knowledge
• International & domestic travel required
