Job Description Summary
As Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) you will report directly to the Director, ERM, and support the Director and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in definition, maintenance, and optimization of the ERM framework to deliver value to BD through continued focus on risk, governance and effective partnerships across the business, regions, and functions.
This hybrid position will report to our Franklin Lakes, NJ offices three days per week.

Our vision for Risk Management at BD
Deliver value to BD through continued focus on effective risk governance and partnerships across the business, regions, and functions.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Support the execution of a streamlined, consistent, and effective ERM Program
- Design and conduct semi-annual enterprise risk assessments including scenario planning workshops
- Collaborate with Strategy team to further integrate risk management into the annual strategic review process
- Improve monitoring of ERM risks by developing and deploying data analytics practices and tools working with risk owners and data scientists
- Provide support in semi-annual ERM program reporting to the executive risk and ESG committee, the audit committee and the full board
- Ensure that BD's ERM program meets the latest professional standards, including, i.e., COSO's ERM Framework, etc.
- Work with selected risk owners to ensure risk remediation measures are taken and on track with targeted progress
- Partner with external ERM peer and advisory groups/organizations, and supervise one staff member
About you:
To be successful in this role, you require:
- Minimum bachelor's degree, with a major or concentration in Finance, Risk Management, Business or Economics
- Advanced degree, such as a Master of Science (MS) in Risk Management (or equivalent) or an MBA, is a plus
- Minimum 7 years of combined professional experience in ERM, Finance, Internal Controls, and Strategy
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; proven collaboration skills across multiple organizational levels
- Strong analytical and leadership skills
- Ability to work efficiently on an independent basis, with minimal guidance
- Ability to supervise 1 direct report; previous supervisory experience is preferred
- Estimated 10-15% travel
