JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for performing setup, troubleshooting & operations of multiple automated robotic applications in cells within a production facility, as well as implementing best practices and proactively assess robotic applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Â

Perform robotic programming (for robots such as Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, and Motoman), including the following:Â

Simulation programsÂ
-
Robotic dressÂ
-
Robotic safety setupÂ
-
Ability to lead a job and delegate tasksÂ
-
Develop and implement standard engineering practices and provide detailed documentation upon project completionÂ
-
Develop logic for simulation programsÂ
-
Setting up communication to PLC and auxiliary devicesÂ
-
Support the installation of tooling in the customer plantÂ
-
Ensure that all off-line and on-line robot programs developed are efficient and that they adhere to the standards and needs of the customer and GableTekÂ
-
Introduce programming improvements in robotic systems that are consistent with customer changes or manufacturing needsÂ
-
Implement application requirements related to robotic welding, joining, sealing and material handling functionsÂ
-
Identify spot welding locations as defined by weld data sheets and other technical dataÂ
-
De-bug, tryout and verify I/O signals and interference zones in the systemÂ
-
Maintain frequent communication with mechanical and controls design personnel, as well as with manufacturing personnel, throughout the entire programming, dressing and tryout phases of installationÂ
-
Provide complete documentation of the robotic procedure, including a printout of robot path programs and all associated data fieldsÂ
-
Lead training of robot end users through the provision of instruction, advice and feedback to minimize downtime and enable users to quickly achieve full productive capacity while remaining compliant to established regulatory and customer safety protocols and regulationsÂ

Represent GableTek at customer locations, using results-driven problem solving skills and techniques while promoting GableTek interests and maintaining a strong customer focusÂ
REQUIRED SKILLS FOR THIS POSITION:
-
3-5 year’s work related experienceÂ
-
High School Diploma or GED equivalentÂ
-
Technical Certification in robot programming preferredÂ
-
Good understanding of mechanical systemsÂ
-
Knowledge of MIG and spot weldingÂ
-
Ability to read schematics and other drawingsÂ
-
Self-motivated and hands onÂ
-
Ability to follow written/verbal instructions and meet deadlines with minimal supervisionÂ
-
Knowledge of at least one of the following robot systems (Fanuc, ABB, Motoman)Â
-
Experience with Microsoft Office ApplicationsÂ
-
Strong written and oral communication skillsÂ
