Senior Ruby BackEnd Developer

We are seeking a Senior or Strong Middle Ruby Backend Developer to support the maintenance and enhancement of an existing platform for a US-based company. The ideal candidate will have robust experience with Ruby on Rails (RoR) and be comfortable using Jira and Confluence for task management and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and optimize the performance of the existing platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements.
• Deliver high-quality code that aligns with project goals and timelines.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation using Confluence.
• Manage tasks and project workflows in Jira.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails for senior candidates; 3+ years for strong middle-level candidates.
• Strong knowledge of backend development principles and relational databases.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote/distributed team environment.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting and improving legacy systems is highly desirable.
