Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust features for web-based applications.
- Define and improve APIs that serve customer needs and integrate with existing systems.
- Maintain and enhance existing application features, adapting to evolving business requirements.
- Advocate for coding, testing, and performance best practices within the engineering team.
- Collaborate with product, design, and customer success teams to deliver features aligned with user needs.
- Participate in AI-powered projects, contributing to automation and data structuring initiatives.
- Review and refactor code to ensure maintainability, scalability, and performance standards.
- Extensive experience building and maintaining production-grade Ruby on Rails applications.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, database design, and scalable backend development.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and related backend technologies.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies including React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Heroku, and infrastructure automation tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fully remote environment.
- Outcome-oriented mindset, capable of taking projects from inception to completion independently.
- Interest or experience in AI/ML technologies, particularly for content generation or data structuring.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about clean, maintainable code.
- Competitive salary within the UK range of £79,424 to £97,074, reflecting skills, experience, and market standards.
