This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer in Ireland.

We are seeking a skilled Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join a fast-growing, innovative team building state-of-the-art telemedicine solutions. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain features that help clinicians engage, triage, and treat patients safely online. You will collaborate closely with product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software, troubleshoot issues, and optimize clinical workflows. The position offers a hands-on, full-stack development environment, with opportunities to contribute to impactful projects that improve patient outcomes worldwide. You will work in a supportive, dynamic, and growth-oriented setting, where your expertise directly shapes the platform’s functionality and reliability.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement new features and applications in collaboration with product owners.
  • Maintain and enhance existing software by troubleshooting and fixing bugs efficiently.
  • Write, execute, and maintain automated tests, ensuring high-quality code through CI processes.
  • Test features manually in staging environments to verify functionality and performance.
  • Contribute to a full-stack development workflow, delivering solutions independently when needed.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in software engineering and testing.
  • Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years of commercial Ruby on Rails development experience.
    • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with solid front-end skills.
    • Proficiency in SQL and experience working in Linux environments.
    • Full-stack development capabilities, able to deliver functionality with minimal support.
    • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles and clean coding practices.
    • Experience with writing tests and following CI/CD workflows.
    • Excellent written and spoken English, with effective communication skills.
    • Availability to work Monday to Friday within core office hours (10:00–16:00 Irish Summer Time / GMT).
    • Desired (not required) experience:

      • Cloud-based software (e.g., Azure) and DevOps tools (especially Ansible).
      • Knowledge of Turbolinks, Turbo, Hotwire, Stimulus, or Kamal.
      • Experience with React.js.
