Breeze’s Senior Safety Data Analyst is the principle expert for creating new and innovative methods to capture and analyze safety and operational data in the Breeze Airways safety management system. The Senior Safety Data Analyst conducts safety data analysis, manages data sources, and develops new data analysis methods. They conduct in-depth reviews and analysis of operational and safety data in order to predictively identify trends and manage safety risks. Additionally, this role creates new methods to visualize safety and operational data to allow users to spot trends and mitigate safety risk. This role also supports Safety Programs in addition to the safety duties listed below.
Here’s what you’ll do- Capture and analyze safety event data to raise awareness of operational risks and to facilitate the application of corrective actions to mitigate risks
- Manage the Breeze Safety Program data analytics and Safety Management System (SMS) Information System
- Capture, analyze, and present shared and reported safety information with subject-matter experts and department leadership via cross departmental communications
- Collect flight data and other information in support of event investigation procedures
- Assist in the preparation of investigation reports that include the facts, analysis, conclusions, findings, and recommendations associated with an event
- Research event-specific regulatory issues
- Responsible for utilizing the SMS Information System for safety reporting data analytics, trends, and mitigation follow up
- Assist with the Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) program, which may include assisting in the development of FOQA and validating, monitoring, investigating, and reporting FOQA data
- Assist in the management of the Safety Management System (SMS) Information System, safety reports and safety risk assessments, and root cause analysis
- Assist with facilitating the Aviation Safety Action Programs (ASAPs), which may include providing in-depth analysis of trends
- Assure corrective measures are executed and tracked to final resolution
- Evaluate safety report data and create reports identifying trends and risks
- Track and trend monthly and yearly metrics
- Assist with ad hoc Safety Department Projects
- Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence
- 4-year degree from an accredited university or 5+ years relevant experience
- 3+ years’ experience with data analytics
- Advanced skills in computer programs or computer programming
- Experience in compiling statistics necessary to track trends across multiple platforms
- Experience in tracking and trending compliance metrics, objectives, and occurrences
- Experience in managing the collection and analysis of data including interpreting data, identifying trends, and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of company operations
- Ability to conduct or support data and/or statistical analyses to provide meaningful and actionable insight that improve Breeze’s safety performance
- Skilled in business intelligence and/or data reporting tools
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
- High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success and works well with others.
