The Role:
The Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for identifying and generating high-value opportunities for our Account Executives to close. The SDR will become a trusted resource and develop relationships with prospects, acting as the initial point of contact. This role will be primarily focused around researching the Target Accounts in their territory and performing outreach through emails, calls, and LinkedIn.
Previous experience as an SDR is not required, but you should want to foster a long-term career in sales. The Sr. SDR role is your foot in the door to the wide, lucrative world of B2B sales. Passion for advancing in your career and consider learning/growing a vital part of your professional development. Top performers in this role are individuals who take extreme ownership over their process and remain diligent in their outreach and follow-up. Winning attitude and perseverance are crucial for success as an SDR.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Fast learner who craves knowledge
- Motivated by money and opportunity
- Goal-oriented
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Clear history of diligent process and clear follow-up abilities
- Experience persevering despite challenges
- Experience with sales tools (SalesLoft, Salesforce, etc.)
- Independent self-starter, who also works well on a team
- Passionate about providing inclusive coverage to marginalized populations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sales experience (in any industry or capacity)
- Experience with sales tools like SFDC, Salesloft, etc
- Professional experience in a client-facing role
- Professional experience in Benefits/Healthcare
Compensation:
Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The expected base salary for this position will range from $65,000 to $89,000. Actual compensation, including any applicable bonus or variable component, may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
