About the Role:

The Senior Director of Sales will be responsible for effectively defining and implementing the appropriate sales strategy across the Northern California market.

What You’ll Do:

  • Recruiting, developing, mentoring, and scaling a world class enterprise sales team.
  • Sales enablement.
  • Working closely with the GM and leadership team on sales and business strategy.
  • Be a role model for the company culture.
  • Manage the sales teams, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth
  • Establish compensation, training, and sales incentive programs.
  • Provide thought leadership, in terms of revenue-generating ideas and solutions, as well as effectively planning and forecasting sales results with a consistent record of
    achieving/exceeding plans.
  • Drive the development of sales strategies.
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.
  • Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful support, channel and partner programs.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor of key customer and partner relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
  • Work closely with leadership to develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs.
  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base.
  • Manage overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management.
  • Develop pricing policies, including volume discounts and terms and conditions, for high-profile customers and channel partners.

Qualifications & Interests:

  • At least 7 year of strong sales leadership. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university desired.
  • The successful candidate will exude confidence, inspire teamwork and collaboration, and be seen as a good coach, mentor and advocate.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
  • Thorough understanding of designated market, key industry partners, and trends in the marketplace.
  • Advanced client-facing skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate with clients.
  • Proven track record of customer focus, including the ability to foster long-term relationships.
  • General understanding of financial forecasting, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Strong organization skills with great attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
  • Established contacts and relationships with potential customers and channel partners.
  • Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners.
  • Proven evangelical sales track record in a new product/new market environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team oriented environment.
  • Experience with a specific sales methodology, sales funnel management.
  • Strong ability to operate independently and manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel).

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
