About the Role
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will work closely with account executives to craft technical solutions that meet our commercial and industrial (C&I) customers' needs. You will identify how Aurora's powerful products, namely HelioScope, fit into a client's workflow and add value by eliminating manual steps, automating processes, and increasing the speed and efficiency of designing and selling solar. A successful candidate in this role will have deep knowledge of the commercial solar industry, commercial solar system design, and financial modeling, and the ability to think creatively and present solutions to C-level executives both internally and externally.
What You'll Do
- Partner with HelioScope Account Executives and Value Consultants to analyze and understand clients' business, sales, design processes, and operation needs
- Build workflows and charts that depict the customer journey, software utilization, and potential integrations with other software platforms
- Find opportunities where the HelioScope product builds value and/or reduces costs for our customers with technical solutions
- Define technical requirements necessary to implement the identified cost reductions and added-value solutions for the client
- Suggest new approaches to client operations that use the HelioScope product in more optimized methods while increasing stickiness
- Become a HelioScope product expert in all aspects, especially in commercial solar design and financing, and provide client feedback to HelioScope's Product teams
- Some travel time to industry trade shows and annual team onsites can be expected
What We Value
- 5 years of experience in a technical role that is customer-facing (preferably SE)
- Ability to work US East Coast as well as some EU business hours
- Deep domain experience in commercial solar design, sales, and financing
- Understanding of APIs and implementations
- Ability to think creatively to address complex situations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to balance multiple projects concurrently
- Outstanding organizational and record-keeping skills
- Team-oriented mentality
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
