About The Role
In this opportunity as a Senior Sales Executive, you will:
- Drive Results: Investigate customer needs in order to build a comprehensive understanding of issues/concerns; use effective relationship building skills and empathy as a strategy for dealing with customers; focus on the big picture and business perspective when making decisions and taking action
- Closing: Demonstrate commercial acumen via ability to structure and present commercial proposals (which are aligned with TR policies) in a suitable business context, and demonstrating effective negotiation skills to close "good business"; attain sales targets and quotas at the cadence expected for the product line
- Relationship Management: Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and professional qualities that command attention and respect from C-Level executives at Medium Sized Law firms; adapt smoothly to changing requirements and politicized issues. This will require using appropriate interpersonal styles to consistently build trust and confidence with users, key contacts, managers and executives at TR's largest customer sites
- Product Proposition: Exhibit a deep knowledge of TR products, as well as the legal profession and the business challenges facing the industry and specific to each customer, and how TR solutions (software & content) helps solve for these
- Reporting: Gather and log all call information, sales orders, and profile activity within Salesforce, Thomson Reuters CRM system, correctly and accurately; ensuring proper marketing sources are credited appropriately
- Client and Market Intelligence: Demonstrate excellent ability to identify alternatives to penetrate an account deeper, wider and farther; create bundled product packages to meet client needs and determine the most appropriate sales strategy for the new-business opportunity within the account context (and account plan)
About You
You're a fit for the Senior Sales Executive if you have:
- Four-year college degree strongly preferred
- 5-8 years selling Cloud/ERP applications experience is preferred
- Proven success in consistently achieving/exceeding monthly quota targets in technology-based sales
- Proven track record of success driving revenue growth against quota and increased profitability in the SaaS industry
- Hunter mentality with extensive experience self-generating new business
- Working knowledge of Legal time and billing software and related applications
- Experience selling sophisticated accounting software into the Legal/ERP space and selling into C-Level suite
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced and high growth business environment
- Excellent communication (written, oral) and presentation skills (in-person, virtual)
- Experience working with ROI, cost modeling and other quantitative techniques to educate and persuade potential buyers
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills

- Strong network within the Legal ecosystem
- Experience in the SaaS/Cloud space a big plus
- A comprehensive understanding of the legal and/or professional services marketplace, its business culture, processes, value drivers and business operations either through sales or project management
