Job Description
Reporting to: Head of Sales and Marketing
Within the appointed territory, comprising user accounts and vertical market new business organizations exceed sales targets. Sales Targets will comprise [although may not necessarily be limited to] sales order value, sales revenue, deposit collections, product and services mix, customer mix, maintenance, and support agreements. Contribute towards the continued growth and development of Oxit and its members of staff.=
Key Results Areas
Sales – new business and user accounts
- Prepare an annual territory plan detailing strategies and tactics to identify and engage contacts in new name new logo accounts and existing customer accounts that could potentially use Oxit products and services
- Develop relationships with existing and new contacts in each account with the objective of generating a pipeline of net new revenue opportunities
- Follow up on sales leads, enquiries and opportunities within the territory in a timely and professional fashion and in so doing qualify in or out prospective revenue opportunities for Oxit.
- Execute in an expedient and professional manner all appointments, meetings, presentations, demonstrations, and RFPs as may be appropriate and necessary to sell as efficiently and as cost-effectively as possible into the territory, in alignment with the Oxit sales, and sales process, bringing sales opportunities to a successful close.
- As may be required from time to time for certain accounts, and as appropriate particularly for long-term, complex new sales opportunities in new and existing accounts, develop written strategic account plans for managing the sales process and securing sales orders.
- Upon commitment from the customer to place an order with Oxit, negotiate the terms of the sale in compliance with Oxit’s standard terms of business and Oxit’s standard form agreements, and get all appropriate agreements and licenses signed by the customer.
- Collate and record in CRM, in sufficient depth, quality, and quantity, information about sales activity and prospect information so as to enable an effective sales pursuit, account management, and reporting of the prospect organization.
Account management
- Manage the territory account base to maintain and grow revenue streams.
- Proactively liaise with all departments in Oxit so as to provide a commercial single point of contact and accountability for the user accounts in the territory
- Proactively, using professional and ethical sales and account management techniques, contact existing customer contacts on a regular basis.
- Collate and record, in sufficient depth, quality, and quantity, information about account management activity and new / addon opportunities so as to enable an effective sales and account management effort within the prospect organization.
- Work with other departments within Oxit to ensure that any proposed products and services are relevant to meet the needs of the accounts
Key Results Areas – General
- As may be appropriate from time to time, and in conjunction with other staff members, work with third parties, partners, and VARs to secure sales of Oxit products and services
- As appropriate provide feedback and/or assistance for the modification, design, or development of sales and marketing aids, tools, and programs.
- The timely preparation and submission of customer records, CRM updates, reports, plans, forecasts, and expenses as requested by line and/or senior management.
- As appropriate and/or at the request of management assist in any special events, projects, or promotions.
