Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Sales Executive to innovate, win, and grow with us remotely! As a member of the Digital Banking team, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing a pipeline that leads to new business opportunities for our Commercial Banking Platform.  This enterprise application is mission critical for our digital banking network for businesses. You will have excellent internal and external communications to prospects and internal teams. The ability to work within a team environment and develop successful executive level relationships with customers and prospects is a must. 

How you’ll contribute: 

  • Prospecting and sales of Bottomline’s commercial banking solutions to Super-Regional, Regional and Community Banks
  • Understand the customer’s or prospect’s strategy, vision/mission, and challenges and how Bottomline’s solutions are responsive
  • Develop and manage a sales plan for each account that is grounded in the account’s strategy, vision/mission, and systems/technology landscape to maximize Bottomline’s sales opportunities
  • Engage the appropriate customer executives and, as needed, Bottomline resources to optimize relationship value for both parties
  • Present, promote and sell commercial banking products/services to existing and prospective customers
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and delighted customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling and sales/marketing campaigns
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members, solution consulting, telemarketing, marketing and other departments as needed
  • Analyze and exploit the territory/market’s full potential
  • Maintain complete, timely, and accurate pipeline and account information in Salesforce
  • Follow North America sales best practices for meeting planning, preparation, execution, and follow up
  • Follow Bottomline best practices for regular sales and customer information communications
  • Keep abreast of best practices and market trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback

What will make you successful: 

  • Proven experience and sales success demonstrated by consistent quota achievement selling six to seven figure SaaS solutions
  • Proven experience dealing with C level technical and business buyers in banks and financial institutions
  • Proven experience and demonstrated knowledge in commercial banking applications
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record of sales success and quota achievement in net new sales – minimum of 6 – 8 years
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver effective presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Strong collaboration skills and openness to feedback
  • Bachelor’s Degree
