The Senior Strategic Sales Executive will play a key role in the development, implementation and execution of an Account Management strategy that’s aligned with Convene’s unique business objectives. The Senior Strategic Sales Executive will partner with 15-25 key accounts to demonstrate Convene's value and maximize revenue yield through engagement across all Convene platforms. This person will drive business opportunities to the meetings sales team in existing markets along with generating demand in new markets. The Senior Strategic Sales Executive will report directly to the VP, Sales in New York, and will be working day-to-day with our Meetings Sales leadership, Revenue Management, Supplier Relations, corporate legal team and Marketing teams as necessary.
What You’ll Do:
- Cultivate relationships with key enterprise accounts with Meetings senior leadership through consultative sales efforts to drive net incremental revenue.
- Build an Account Plan to map out organizational structure and identify key leadership
- Establish, implement and execute a holistic Global Account based Sales Strategy for both meetings and workplace to drive portfolio opportunities.
- Coordinate and support regional sales efforts to optimize value for clients across products.
- Aggregate and record key account intel, metrics and feedback in Convene CRM to maximize insight.
- Optimize client experience and maximize revenue opportunities through adoption of Convene Technology such as Direct Book to create additional revenue channels and drive a more frictionless process for these key clients
- Negotiate and execute Platform Partnership Agreements (MSAs) that support the organization’s revenue strategy and growth of the Meetings and Workplace portfolio. Work closely with Meetings Sales Leaders, Corporate leadership and Revenue team to create scalable solutions for pricing across the portfolio for top accounts.
- Own and execute property familiarization tours, pitches/presentations and dissemination of key account intel to support enterprise sales strategy.
- When applicable, partner with Strategic Meetings Management Firms to drive brand awareness with key business influencers.
- Work with Real Estate Development teams as necessary to share account specific insight, revenue potential and other metrics within new/target markets; Drive collocated deal strategy as applicable
What We Look For:Â
- 6+ years of experience in Sales with a minimum of 3+ years in a complex and/or multi-unit sales environment
- Strong Meetings + Events existing client relationshipsÂ
- Proven account management abilityÂ
- A strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail; the ability to understand the overall business and strategy, and drive execution of strategy into tactical action.Â
- A proven ability to create strong and productive relationships at senior buyer levels within an organization.Â
- Proven closer and history as a collaborative (enterprise) seller
- Demonstrated hands-on proficiency Salesforce.com and/or Delphi.fdc
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to influence and motivate team members, especially those that don’t report to you.Â
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Â
- Ability to prioritize and manage various projects based on the current business requirements and landscape.Â
- Ability to flourish in an extremely fast-paced, high-growth environment.Â

Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 2-10 days a month (when applicable/safe to travel)

Base Salary:
Salary Min: $105k Salary Max: $110k
This role is also eligible for Convene's sales commission program.Â
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.Â
