Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Sales Compensation Associate to join our dynamic Revenue Operations team. As a key member of our Sales Operations function, you will play a pivotal role in driving accurate, efficient, and timely commission processing and compensation plan development. Your expertise in commissions calculations, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration will contribute to the success of our revenue-generating teams.
The Impact You Will Make:
Compensation Strategy and Planning:
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to design sales compensation plans that align with the company's strategic objectives, taking into account sales quotas, performance metrics, and market competitiveness.
  • Execute the rollout of compensation plans, ensuring that they are communicated effectively to the sales team and that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the plans.
  • Regularly evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of compensation plans by monitoring sales performance against targets and making adjustments as necessary.

Commissions Calculation and Processing:
  • Lead the end-to-end commissions planning and calculation process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of commission plan development to sales representatives and partners.
  • Collaborate with sales operations, finance, and HR teams to gather and validate data inputs required for developing compensation plans
  • Apply a deep understanding of commission plans and policies to ensure commissions are accurately calculated in accordance with established guidelines
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to commissions payments

Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze sales performance data and commission metrics to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing commission plans and incentives
  • Create and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to track commissions payments, performance, and trends
  • Identify patterns and trends in commission data to support strategic decision-making and process enhancements

Tooling:
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and optimize our current commission tooling software by collaborating with the Systems and Tooling team

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with the sales, sales operations, and HR teams to ensure alignment on commission plan changes, onboarding of new hires, and offboarding of departing employees.
  • Work closely with the finance team to reconcile commissions payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial controls.

Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate commission-related information to sales representatives, providing clarity on commission plans, calculations, and payouts.
  • Address inquiries and resolve issues related to commissions, serving as a point of contact for commissions-related matters.

What bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commissions operations, sales analytics, or sales operations, with a focus on commissions calculations and processing
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, Excel, and commission calculation tools/systems
  • Experience working with sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data processing
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex commission concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Prior experience in process improvement initiatives and automation is desirable.
