To support this growth, we are searching for a Sales Engineer with the potential to play a key role in expanding the installed and solutions portfolio.

Your role in our team

Your role is to achieve sales targets by evaluating customer requirements, creating competitive and attractive layout designs for automated solutions, and being a part of prospect, customer, and internal engineering meetings. Your solutions will include Körber products such as palletizing machinery, Layer Pickers, and pallet conveyors, as well as third-party supplied machinery like package conveyors, stretch wrappers, pallet labelers, and more. On top of that, Körber's offering will include AMRs, AGVs, shuttle, and case-handling solutions.

We would expect our candidate to be able to design layouts in partnership with the solution design team, following the standards & guidelines set by our global solution teams. For larger or more complex projects, these teams will support you when needed.

  • You will create layouts based on customer requirements, using the Körber product portfolio, solution standards, and where required third-party equipment from partners or suppliers.
  • You will build a funnel of sales opportunities that are sufficient to support annual targets.
  • You will collect input from other departments or suppliers to correctly configure and price equipment or services. Provide the specifications for them to do this.
  • You will cooperate with sales and solution design to build the total costs of the solution.
  • You will lead sales managers and sales engineers at customer meetings. Prepare layout walkthrough presentations.
  • You will participate in the proper hand-over of sold projects to the execution team(s).

Your profile

  • You have successfully graduated from technical studies with a bachelor's degree.
  • (Mechanical engineering or similar).
  • You have gained 2-3 years of experience in a similar role in the material handling industry is required.
  • You have good mechanical engineering skills.
  • You have a good working knowledge of CAD systems, preferably AutoCAD.
  • You have a good working knowledge of 3D tools, preferably IronCAD.
  • You can communicate with all different kinds of stakeholders, from engineers to department heads, sales managers, and customers.
  • You can take responsibility for your work but ask for help when needed.
