Job Summary:

Responsible for providing ongoing support to clients. Implements business strategies to achieve profitable business relationships and identifies new revenue opportunities with major accounts. Develops and maintains strategic business relationships with major accounts to promote brand awareness and profitable business relationships. Possesses very detailed product knowledge as well as thorough knowledge of client's business. Responsible for the direct sales process, aiming at meeting and/or exceeding sales targets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with (and visits) customers staff, and teammates and DENSO company personnel to ascertain and satisfy customers' account needs. Develops and maintains strategic relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Develops and implements customer and product based strategies for DENSO products. Supports business activities. Cultivates, expands and maintains relationships with customers in order to identify potential business opportunities. Utilizes and presents competitor pricing analysis and makes recommendations on how to improve and implement approved strategies. Keeps abreast of current products.
  • Supports and attends sales meetings, customer meetings, trade shows, and marketing events to support the customers' business.
  • Develops and executes accurate and complete sales plans. Ensures maintenance and expansion activities support sales plan. Develops and reviews sales plans with management and recommends and explains ranking, pricing and/or volume strategy for products. Reviews variance analysis and other related information to ensure accuracy and provides detailed reports for management.
  • Develops plans for the maintenance of assigned accounts.
  • Coordinates communications, marketing tools and promotions for assigned accounts.
  • Negotiates product and related sales and marketing issues with customers.
  • Builds, maintains and establishes strong internal and external networks in order to address and resolve daily issues, gather information and focus on company goals and objectives.
  • Coordinates cost-related commercial and business activities, as required. May help develop strategies and tactics for improving profitability. Tracks profitability. Analyzes and follows-up with customers and/or plants to negotiate value-added opportunities. May analyze and review annual percentage rate (APR) lists and make appropriate recommendations to top management based on product pricing strategies, customer roadmaps and/or internal targets.
  • Provides guidance and input into performance evaluations.
  • Analyzes current processes and systems. Identifies and implements activities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of sales and marketing activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • Requires 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Previous automotive experience preferred

Less than 10% travel required.

Must be a skillful presenter that can interpret information based on a general knowledge of the organization, its products and procedures, and provide an independent explanation and discussion based on the technical or complex nature of the materials being discussed.

  • Excellent analytical skills. Ability to independently evaluate and develop innovative solutions to complex situations, applying knowledge of specialty area and use of sound judgement.
  • Excellent negotiation skills. Ability to resolve difficult or complicated situations that are often sensitive in nature. Recognizes and applies subtle cues in anticipating customers' needs and potential next steps. Takes strong stand without indicating disrespect and seeks positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated competency in working with computer software and mainframe applications to manipulate, analyze and reconcile data.

Annual Salary: $73,600-$92,000
