Overview:
As our Salesforce Platform Manager, you will be face of the Salesforce platform to the business, responsible for the overall management of the platform. In this role, you will drive the insights, operations, and strategy that enables OnsiteIQ to run better, faster, and smarter. The Salesforce Platform Manager is responsible for identifying process efficiency and the roadmap of our Salesforce platform.
The Salesforce Platform Managerwill be involved in all aspects of the software development life-cycle, from project/feature backlog prioritization, requirement engineering, and development oversight through testing, release and support for products serving our institutional end users. Acting as a liaison between business and technology, creative problem solving, impeccable communication and attention to detail are key skills expected in this role. This individual will also be responsible for point and click administration and configuration of key systems.
As the Salesforce Platform Manager, you will be instrumental in refining our Salesforce playbook and process. We are looking for a self-starter to join our team, someone who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, operating in a fast-growing environment, and solving problems with limited oversight. A key component to this role is collaborating with business users to identify opportunities to utilize Salesforce to achieve business goals.
Important tasks related to the Salesforce Platform Manager are:
- Manage the Salesforce platform – day-to-day maintenance, upgrades, releases, environment management, architecture, reporting, governance, testing and release management
- Develop and manage a Salesforce Ticketing System
- Act as Project Manager for all enhancement and maintenance projects
- Develop and maintain a backlog of enhancements and fixes
- Develop and enhance the broader cross-functional system infrastructure to help aid in future Salesforce functionality and process efficiency
- Own project/account lifecycle management
- Develop detailed business & functional requirements, including use cases and user stories
- Gather requirements, design solutions, and implement configurations within Salesforce.
- Lead the design, configuration, testing and deployment of new Salesforce functionality, processes, architecture and reporting while ensuring connectivity in related and downstream processes, data integrity and following architectural standards
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing and end user training
- Work on strategic, organizational, and operational projects designed to increase revenue and productivity
- Ensure all relevant information is captured in Salesforce
- Use initiative to drive improvements and best practices within the team
- Participate in the design of data integration to connect Salesforce to other company systems or data warehouses
- Provide support for all cross-functional Salesforce users to track, troubleshoot, and resolve Salesforce issues
- Enhance and provide administration and support of Salesforce including but not limited to: user and license management, new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, and sharing rules
- Own and maintain Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports
- Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization
- 8-10 years of relevant work experience administering a Salesforce instance at a SaaS company
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Applied knowledge of Salesforce and CRM processes including Sales, Services and Marketing functions
- Comfortable communicating with internal Executive-level decision makers
- A strong understanding of and experience with Salesforce automation
- Excellent communicator, self-aware, transparent, collegial, and open to feedback
- Ability to deconstruct existing architecture (profiles, roles, permissions, page layouts, validation rules, etc) and cast a vision for rebuilding for a more scalable future
- Ability to multitask and prioritize at times of high volume, schedule flexibility during End of Month, End or Quarter
- Experience with scoping and executing digital security framework
- Excellent command of Excel and G-Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets)
- Salesforce Certifications: Admin, Developer, or Architect
- Familiarity with Enterprise Software industry
- Experience developing and evolving a Salesforce instance
- Experience in a SaaS environment
