Job Description

Our CLS Premier Services team is looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer. The Senior Salesforce Developer plays a critical role in the technical delivery of our solutions and has strong experience building enterprise class systems on the Salesforce platform with a deep understanding of engineering and Salesforce best practices. The Salesforce developer position at Q2 requires an individual who goes beyond technical proficiency and can solve complex and high-level problems and application issues.

 

Responsibilities Include:

    • Collaborate with the Salesforce Administrators to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits)
    • Develop Apex (classes and triggers) and Lightning UI features (based on specific requirements) to extend Salesforce to support business requirements
    • Custom User Interface development and maintenance, including Visualforce pages/Lightning pages, Skuid, and Lightning Web Components
    • Use of Salesforce APIs and custom APIs to integrate with other systems used in the organization
    • Add to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write / maintain test classes for all custom development
    • Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code, 
    • Integrate and maintain business applications to Salesforce, such as DocuSign, Conga
    • Communicate effectively with cross-functional team members and customers
    • Stays abreast of leading industry trends and Salesforce best practices; builds and maintains subject matter expertise on new releases and enhancements that may benefit Q2.
    • Continuing education to advance skills, which may include a combination of self-study and instructor led trainings, seminars, certifications, etc.
    • Build cross-training programs (scoping, discovery, configuration, documentation, and training)
    • Participate in DevOps/release management 
    • Identify unused or underutilized platform features to improve business experience and drive adoption
    • Maintain, support, troubleshoot, and debug existing Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, as well as internal and external integrations deployed in the company’s Salesforce org

    Role Requirements:

      • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience
      • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer required.  Certified Application Architect preferred
      • Experience in the financial services industry strongly preferred
      • Strong Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud product knowledge with at least 8 years of Salesforce hands-on development experience
      • Proficient with Salesforce development in Visual Studio, Salesforce Lightning Design System and the Salesforce development lifecycle
      • Understanding of Salesforce Execution Governors and Limits, Triggers and Order of Execution, and SOQL best practices
      • General development experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, JSON, XML, REST and SOAPA proactive attitude to platform enhancements
      • Design robust, scalable, and reusable, best practice solutions
      • A particular desire to continually study new technologies and functionality, as well as be involved in projects that push the capabilities of existing technologies
      • The ability to remain calm, diplomatic, and cooperative under stressful conditions
      • Ability to mentor individuals and explain technical decisions
      • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
      • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
      • Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
      • Translating requirements into technical solutions
      • Experience in change management and governance
      • Experience in producing standardized technical documentation
      • DevOps/release management experience
      • Active in Salesforce Community
