Senior Salesforce Developer

Job Purpose:

BTIG is seeking a talented Senior Salesforce Developer to join our Technology team at any BTIG office location. In this role, the ideal candidate is responsible for designing, building, and delivering intelligent and robust solutions for our employees and clients using Salesforce. The candidate must demonstrate strong hands-on programming skills in all stages of the software development life cycle, from development to deployment. Must be a team player able to work with peers coming from diverse background such as development, QA and Business. Superior verbal and written communication skills desired.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business, ensuring that proper testing is implemented, and performance and security requirements are closely monitored by working with the project and development teams. They must also be able to identify and confirm technical design risks and develop mitigating approaches. The candidate must also have experience providing level of effort estimates for technical portion of solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• 5+ years previous development experience with Salesforce.com
• Demonstrated understanding of and experience with Salesforce.com architecture and API
• Ability to design, code, test, debug, and maintain software applications
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• Experience with data migrations from third party systems to Salesforce.com
• Experienced with the Salesforce ecosystem including sfdx, dataloader, and CLI
• Participate in code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure that code quality is at the highest level possible and appropriate design patterns are being used
• Results-oriented person who can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Integration experience with multiple internal and external systems
• Experience with Git and branching strategies account for multiple Salesforce environments
  

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Financial Services industry experience
• Postman and in particular shared workspaces
• Salesforce.com certifications (Certified Force.com Developer (DEV-401), Advanced Developer (DEV-501) or equivalent experience)
• Experience with Tier1 Financial Solutions, including certifications but not limited to, is a big plus
• Ability to manage multiple Salesforce environments, including spinning out environments for specific purposes and managing merges and code promotion using GitHub
• Experience with GitHub Pull Requests, Jenkins, Sonarcloud desired
• Occasional work/release outside of business hours to minimize downtime for the business

Compensation:

• BTIG offers competitive compensation and is required by law to include an estimate of the salary range for each role. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
• The current base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $225,000 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.

• This role can be located at any BTIG office location but the candidate must be comfortable working on East Coast hours
• Must be authorized to work full time in the U.S., BTIG does not offer sponsorship for work visas of any type
