Senior Salesforce QA Analyst

We’re looking for a Sr. QA Analyst (Tester) to join our Go-to-Market Business Systems team. We manage the systems that encompass the entire buyer’s journey from initial lead through marketing, sales, renewal, customer success and advocacy using tools that include Marketo, Salesforce, Aria, NetSuite, and Zendesk. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience creating test plans and executing test cases in a complex Salesforce.com environment, understand Sales and Marketing motions and technical architectures. This role is supported by the Sr. Manager, Go-to-Market Business Systems.

What You'll Do

  • Own and develop test plans and strategies, create and execute test cases, partner with a vendor testing team, and manage test data.
  • Identify opportunities to use end-to-end tests to expand on our value and stakeholder confidence.
  • Identify relevant quality metrics for the team such as error rates and thresholds.
  • Advocate for, implement and monitor tools that provide alerting on those metrics.
  • Drive testing process and validation of systems configuration and development, with an eye on improvement.
  • Advocate for consistent and simple user experience, especially during planning. 
  • Investigate defects and produce minimum viable test cases to reproduce them.
  • Support frequent deployments to production.
  • Manage the Business Systems manual functional and automation test script libraries.
  • Help foster a culture of pride in testing and obsession around delivering quality software.
  • Improve the overall quality and completeness of documentation.

Work Hours: This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

What We're Looking For

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+  years hands-on experience as a Salesforce QA Analyst (tester).
  • Experience/exposure to test automation such as: Playwright, Robot Framework, Selenium, Copado Robotic Testing, UIPath.
  • Strong proficiency with Salesforce and the overall platform in a Lightning-based environment.
  • Demonstrable experience with a complex Salesforce org which requires testing of automation capabilities such as workflows, process builder, flows, validation rules and custom code development.
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce permissions, roles, and logical formulas.
  • Understanding of and the implications of testing 3rd party apps from the AppExchange within SFDC as well as integrations with external 3rd party applications (such as Marketo, LeanData, Outreach, Zendesk, ZoomInfo, Bizible, etc.).
  • Ability to meet deadlines, communicate delays, and clarify ambiguous requirements.
  • Exceptional communicator, strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing/driving a test automation framework.
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Zendesk, NetSuite, Aria, Logisense.
  • Prior experience in a SaaS or usage/consumption-based business.
  • Solid understanding of B2B Lead-to-Quote and Quote-to-Cash processes and how these processes are managed in a Salesforce.com environment.
  • Current Force. com Certification, Trailhead profile, or Salesforce community involvement.

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.  

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $113,220 to $166,500.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
