We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon and we are looking to hire a Sr. Scientist, Advanced Analytics to join our R&D Team in Fort Worth, TX. You will be responsible for research to develop or improve analytical data science and technology, analytical methodology as well as investigating application of data science solutions using value engineering approaches.

Responsibilities:

• Develops advanced data science solutions, analytical methods to link to characterization and understanding of polymeric biomaterials, medical devices, and their interactions with biology.
• Willing to challenge the status quo; able to understand when and how to take appropriate risks to drive performance. Excited about piloting new technology solutions for continuous improvement.
• Independently designs and conduct complex, non-standard analytical studies to solve technical challenges.
• Provides technical leadership by applying scientific expertise to identify and resolve complex analytical issues; developing thorough, practical solutions that are consistent with organization objectives and require creativity.
• Thoroughly and clearly documents and/or reviews experiments in laboratory notebook; prepares high quality technical documents.
• Masterful communication and influencing skills with ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization (verbally and written), work with executive leadership on strategic decisions, and manage organizational dynamics, interfaces and demands

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Statistics, Data Science or a related field
• 3+ or equivalent years of direct experiences

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs.; Assoc.+6 yrs.; M.S.+0 yrs.)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
• Work hours: M-F, standard
• Travel Requirements: 0-5%
