Senior Scientist, Protein Science

Position description

The successful candidate will work in an interdisciplinary discovery team focused on protein science. The Sr. Scientist will be an innovative thinker with the ability to work independently, design and carry out experiments and propose creative solutions to challenging problems.

Responsibilities

• Design and generate protein libraries
• Execute library selection or screening for protein discovery and optimization
• Participate in development and validation of new drug delivery platform
• Present research findings to project teams and governance bodies and prepare study reports
• Maintain a high level of productivity in the lab and perform critical experiments

Requirements

• PhD in molecular biology, bioengineering, biochemistry, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry
• Strong background in molecular biology and protein engineering
• Direct hands-on experience in library generation, selection or screen, using phage display, yeast display, mRNA display or other approaches
• Expertise in protein engineering, protein expression and purification
• Skilled in the use of computational tools for protein sequence and structure analyses
• Solid organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Proven scientific accomplishments including publications, conference presentations or patents
• Ability to adapt well to fast changing goals and research directions
